Faculty

City University of Seattle is proud of its faculty variety. Courses are delivered from instructors coming from all over the world, who have both teaching and practical experience. Around 70% of the City U faculty is foreign and the rest 30% are Bulgarians. Here is a brief information about some of our instructors.

Samir Hanna, MBA has been teaching Accounting with CityU in Bulgaria since 2006. His over 8 years of professional experience include diversified managerial, financial and auditing positions. For the last 5 years he has been a Financial and Internal Controller with an international trade company. 

Vladimir Karolev, PhD comments that "the MBA programs of CityU in Bulgaria provides a very good value for money. It also allows combining work with study."

Since 1993 Mr. Karolev has occupied top management positions at Balkan Advisory Company,  Bulgarian Stock Exchange, ECM-Bulgarian Post Privatization Fund, Europa Capital Management, Barents Group of KPMG Consulting. He is experienced in privatization advisory, mergers & acquisitions, project management, business development and project finance, government level negotiations, private equity management.

Mr. Karovel has been teaching Investment Management since 1998 in CityU.

Professor J. Perez

President and CEO of several IT companies in the USA, Europe and Middle East; Diplomat at the U.S. Embassy in Argentina; NASA Computer Security Senior Systems Engineer and Director; Computer Security Auditor; Management Cosultant. These are some of the positions Prof. Perez has occupied during his rich practitioner career.

Prof. Perez has been with CityU since 2006 and is teaching Management Information Systems, Project Management, Operations Management, International Business in Bulgaria.

James S. Caldwell, J.D. has over 15 years experience in contracts management in the private, commercial sector, primarily U.S. Government contractors and software development firms. Westinghouses Electric Corporation, IBM, Verdix, Oracle, HJ Ford Associates Inc., RJO Enteprises are some of the companies he has worked for.

Mr. Caldwell has been teaching Legal Systems, Management fundamentals,  International relations  both in the Bachelors` and Masters` programs of CityU in Bulgaria since 2002.
